The BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg welcomes applicants from all over the world. The foreign students come from more than 111 countries and have a share of more than 25% of all the students. The total number of students at the BTU is about 8000. Each year the students choose the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg for their new home due to its attractive offers in the studies, excellent equipment, very good care as well as the attractive leisure facilities of the town Cottbus and the region around.

This Professional Academy offers a combination of studies and practical training (Dual Studies〉), which provides opportunities for a fast start of the career. The focus of the six programmes of studies is on economy and technology. A contract with a company guarantees a payment for the training during the studies. Semester holidays are replaced by the annual holiday. There are no fees for the studies. Thanks to the close cooperation with the partner companies for the practical part of the training, there are usually good chances for being employed by the companies later.
